Regarding the digital revolution, management follows an "early/late majority" approach adopting new technologies and ways of working. Each idea and new technology is run through an evaluation process to clearly understand the potential business value and the expected size of the investment.
Although the firm is taking a conservative approach toward digital transformation, corporate IT is essential in ensuring business processes are operating well and evolving according to market, efficiency, and technology needs.
To further improve their IT organization and progress towards a business partner at eye height, the CIO takes measures to optimize their IT operating model.

The goal of the project was to provide consulting support on their target IT operating model and IT executive coaching on topics around IT strategy and IT organization.
Project Concept
The following approach has been taken to provide consulting support on their target IT operating model and IT executive coaching on topics around IT strategy and IT organization:
- Settings session with the CIO
- Understand and discuss the overall corporate development, the corporate strategy, and implications on their IT strategy and IT operating model regularly
- Educate on industry trends, typical pitfalls, and lessons learned
- Co-creation workshop on strategic options to develop the IT organization
- Brainstorming and co-creation sessions on particular additional strategic and tactical matters
Project Duration
The engagement length for coaching the IT executives on their particular matters was a set of years. During this time, the coaching intensity was aligned to the client's needs and occurring topics.
